As the October approaches, we feel the change in the air. The smell of Festival is all over India, from South to North and East to West. It begins with aroma of flowers, the cold air which touches our face and fragrance of seasonal flowers. This is the message to us that the festival season is around.
We start spending our savings rather we start investing our savings either in buying cars on the day of Dhanteras, or some invest in gold during the Durgaashtami.
So this  part of the year is spend-thrifting yet cheerful for every corner of India.

Women love to buy Sarees, Suits during this auspicious day of Durgaashtami, Men invest in cars and Gadgets and Old age people spent on Gold and Jewellery.

1. Durgaashtami- This festival is mostly celebrated in Bengal, Where people bring Goddess Durga at home and celebrate her presence. The 9th day after the navratri is celebrated with the dance and they worship all the nine forms of her.
People dress up, they dance, they pray for the well being of the family. On this auspicious moment, young unmarried girls treated as Goddess Durga. 

They dress up like the Goddess. All the  young girls are gracefully dressed, decorated enough to be like one. They buy Bangles, wear red colour sin door, embellish them with jewellery and wear white sarees with red border. The most common attire seen during the durgaashtami.

2. Dusshera- Vijay-Dashmi, victory of Lord Ram over Ravan. People call him Demon, but he was the most  intelligent Pandit on the earth. His ten heads, was his asset. Also a triumph of Goddess Durga over Demon Mahishasur. People call it a day where we should burn all our jealousy and our bad habits. 
The festival of victory, where our positiveness win over negative thoughts.So people celebrate this with such enthusiasm and spirit, that they buy all those things which will help them getting over negativity.They transform themselves, they free themselves with old things and buy new things, new clothes, new fashion.

3. Karwa-Chauth- This festival is most common in North India, but it is celebrated in most of the states. On this day, married women, keep full day fast for their husband's long life. Karwa is karak, i.e earth pot through which water is being offered. This is the most auspicious festivals for women. They dress up like a bride. They buy Lehengas, Sarees, red colour is the most commonly purchased suit on this occasion. They also buy jewellery, bags and footwears.
