Rare colour combos
This season, like every other festive season, is about bright and vibrant colours such as fresh lemon yellow, fuchsia pink, salmon, orange, peach, kiwi green, pista green, ink blue et al. Interestingly, a lot of young designers have used new colours that are uncommon too, that bring in a breath of fresh air.

Deepthi says, "Colour combinations that are rarely seen on ethnic ensembles, like a dull peach with a deep purple and, a mustard yellow with black and cream, look very classy."
She recommends contrasts like black and white teamed with a red or green clutch or heels too.
Anarkalis with a twist
Though she's a little bored of the anarkalis floating around, Deepthi is surprised to see that people still love them. She suggests giving your simple anarkali a sexy twist with a deep plunging back!

"The back of the dress is given a lot of importance this season, whether with embroidery or just an open back," she adds.
Flowy fabrics
Georgettes, soft nets, shiny silks and cottons with a self print are the key fabrics to sport this festive season. "Texture and yarns are playing a very important role in this season's ethnic wear," says Munjal.

With regard to embroideries, go for colours contrasting to the main body fabric. "Copper and silver are the new gold," Munjal slips in.
Interesting silhouettes
"Layers on dresses and lehengas in beautiful flowy fabrics are doing the rounds," Munjal informs.
Floor-lengths (full-length anarkalis and lehengas), as they’ve been christened recently, allow no skin show, but look gorgeous on those with long necks and well-toned bodies, she adds.

High-waist flared pants with a transparent outer with a plain or brocade inner is the latest!
Innovation, the new mantra
Whether it is with colours, cuts or prints, go experimental! In Munjal's words, conservative is passé!

Try tunics with digital prints that definitely cause heads to turn. There’s no issue about size because one size fits all beautifully.
All in all, ethnic fashion is getting bolder, in your face and very confident!
Full leanth lehenga are very intresting, as in early period, lehenga comes in selected style, but now we have huge varitay, Now days Lehenga Style saree are makeing a mark on ethic fashion.
